When Aaron Farrugia became Minister for the Environment, he continued from where his
predecessor Jose Herrera left off. It was his direct intervention which lead to the Guardianship
Agreement being signed between the Malta Government and our foundation: Fondazzjoni Rurali
Manikata. As is always the case, legal formalities are much harder to achieve than the actual
project itself, especially obtaining planning permission and appropriate title. Once again, the
