Koperattiva Rurali Manikata

Koperattiva Rurali Manikata (KRM) is a farmer’s co-operative established in 2008 whose mission is to protect their interests and safeguard rural life and traditions in the locality of Manikata. Through its work, KRM’s aim is to educate Maltese persons and also foreigners, with a particular emphasis on children, and help them appreciate and understand what it is to be a farmer. This is being done through sustainable rural-tourism and educational hands-on programmes offered by our cooperative.

Fondazzjoni Rurali Manikata

(VO1544)

The key focal point of KRM’s rural protection activities is the protection and restoration of a medieval hamlet know as Ir Razzett Tal -Qasam. KRM established its own NGO dedicated to this purpose called Fondazzjoni Rurali Manikata (FRM) in 2017. FRM was officially appointed as Protector of the site in a ceremony with Minister Aaron Farrugia on the 26th September 2021 for a period of 15 years.
